Sometimes in life you run into people that just have that certain air to them that tells you they know what they are doing. Almost like they are naturally born to lead, but does that actually mean they are meant to lead you? See the way I see it is, just because someone dresses and sounds like a leader doesn't mean they are right for you. As you need to realize that you don't need others to direct you, sometimes you just need to take a breathe and believe in yourself. Because believing in yourself is the very first step to become a leader, as when it comes down to it, everyone, no matter what people say has, or could have, all the qualities that make a great leader. You just gotta know what you're looking for.
Have you ever just looked at the sky at night and saw the billions upon billions of stars in the sky, and just thought "Wow. In the grand scheme of things I'm tiny. I'm nothing compared to the vastness of the universe." Or something along those lines anyways? Yea? Me too. It's not an uncommon thought when looking up at the stars in the sky. I mean look around you. Everything is so vast and there's so much we, as humans, still don't know about our world, let alone all of the stars in the sky. There's so much we still need to learn that sometimes we get caught up in all the details of how this happened or why that happened, not so much on who we are or what we can do. And that can be kind of scary, when thought upon. The fact that we spend so much time trying to figure out how the world works and why things happen, yet we still don't know who we are. Like there's so many teens around the world that are in pain, that are struggling to figure out who they are in this vast world that can be full of the most cold hearted thoughtless human beings. We are truly our own worst enemies, and that's kind of sad. As when you lose sight of who you are that's when you lose sight of what is right. Look around you, every single day millions of ideas are being shared. Whether it's in the form of spoken words or rough sketches. Ideas are everywhere and they affect your every day life whether you realize it or not. That's why it's important to learn how to effectively share with the world, whether that's just a classroom full of your peers or the office you work in, your ideas, your thoughts, your feelings, they all matter. Not a single one of them is "of less importance than the other." And I think that's what's wrong with this world. Not only do we not understand or know how to share our personal ideas, thoughts and feelings, but we're scared. We're scared someone will laugh, or think your idea is stupid or invade. Which is a natural reaction, but you know what? If you saw a small child being bullied by someone much larger than them would you swallow your fear and help them? I would hope so, so why can't sharing your ideas, thoughts and feelings be similar to helping a small child? Here is an article that explains how to effectively channel and express your thoughts and emotions. www.exforsys.com/career-center/people-skills/expressing-thoughts-feelings-effectively.html It's the end of the first week of the last trimester of my senior year. Many things are starting come upon me and fast. It's time for me to figure it out. Which in theory shouldn't be that hard. But in reality it kind of is. Being a senior is a lot more difficult than being a Junior. Being a senior means a lot more responsibility. Between applying to colleges, trying to get scholarships and exactly making the decision once you've been accepted as to where would best suit you, in regards to what you want to study. You're expecting to figure it out, just like the seniors did before you. It's hard, and frustrating. As you have so many questions about how to do this or that, yet you don't really know who to ask. You're just expected to figure it out on your own for the most part anyways. And in more ways than one that's kind of life's motto. From taking your first steps to going to the bathroom. You just have to figure it. And hope that in the end everything will work out. There's really nothing wrong with not knowing what you are doing or even what you want to do with the rest of your life. But you really should start figuring things out now rather than later, as you never know what opportunities you might miss if you decide to wait last minute. amysmartgirls.com/my-story-coming-out-and-still-figuring-it-out-88317663eec0#.2ikz4ih7m I feel this article is very relevant to a lot of kids my age and those questioning who they are around the world. This article tells a story of young lady who is bisexual. But she was confused and scared of what people would think of her if she came out as such. She also didn't know what was going on with her emotions, but finally she took the time and courage to figure out who she was and she was welcomed with supportive arms and she was that much happier. This particular article shows that sometimes, taking the time to figure out whatever it is you're dealing with won't end as badly as you might think. |
