I want you to think of a time whether it is just hours or years ago I want you to think of a time when you keep the truth of something, small or big, from someone you cared about. What happen? Did things get worse or did they get better? How did you feel? And did you tell them what you were holding back? If so how did they react?
Sometimes it's okay to not tell someone the truth. But other times it needs to be told. Like for example in the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, there was a lot of things that both Tom and Jim didn't tell Huck.. Like the fact that Huck's dad and the Widow Douglas were both died and then there was the fact that Jim was also set free when the widow died. And if Huck had known these things he most likely would have stopped running, but if he had stopped running the story would have ended, so in this cast it was okay for the characters to withhold the total truth.
But in real life it's not always the smartest thing to do. I mean you never know how someone will react. Just like you never know if maybe the truth would make their life easier or maybe just even harder. It's a hard thing to judge. But you have to do what is right. You have to tell the truth no matter how hard it might be..
